Look for a raisan colored eyeliner (pencil) like a brownish purple, put both on top & bottom of lids right where your lashes grow out from eyes & then rub w/the spongy tip on other end of pencil. then use black mascara!!
Ughh same problem(i also have green eyes)
What I do is:
-Use black eyeliner & put it on really light
-Use black mascara(but i think its too much so either choose between mascara or eyeliner)
-Then I heard that purple brings out the green in your eyes
=D
Mascara: Black.
Eyeliner: Black. Around your eyes, put a thicker layer on top, but a thinner layer on the bottom.
Eyeshadow: Gold & brown generally stand out. Think ‘nature colors’. Darker colors work if your eyes are bright green.
I have green eyes, & I have found that a very light, grey/purple (almost taupe) looks the best on me. I also wear light brown, but while that makes my eyes look bigger, the slightly purple color makes the green “greener.” Buy the “berry” palette in L’Oreal & use the lighter purple. It’s great.
black mascara, “eggplant” eyeliner, light green eyeshadow, tan eyeshadow, peach/pink/orange eyeshadow, dark purple eyeliner top lid & bottom (very, very little on the bottom you dont want it to thick.
i have alot of experience, plus i had green, blue & purple contacs. when i wear green the colors listed look really well
Golden tones are great. Here are a few products that I have used on green eyed girls in the past.
Mac: AMber Lights eyeshadow-I used this as a liner. Also, bark is a really good one to use in your crease.
The Best i found is Origins Copper Penny & Rootbeer Floar. The copper penny is really pretty on your lid & Rootbeer float is a burgundyish color but does not look as dark on as it appears in the container. Mascara, cover girl makes a good one. I cannot remember what the name is but it is in a red tube & has a plastic wand. I like it because it does not clump.
Eyeliner, Mac Fluidline has a great brown liner. Use it in moderation though. Please email me if you have any other questions!
Choosing An Eyeshadow
These colors are some of the most popular for green eyes.
Try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Browns & dark greens with copper or gold highlights are also a great choice.
Apricots & taupes are good choices for highlighters.
Dark purples, plums & metallics work too. Coppers & golds will make a really glamorous evening look for makeup tips for green eyes. I personally really like the way deep purples look with dark green eyes.
Colors To Avoid
When you’re learning makeup tips for green eyes, it also helps to know what colors you might want to avoid.
First up, blues. Any color of blue doesn’t do green eyes justice. I would recommend avoiding light blues, dark blues & even some colors (purples or pinks) with blue undertones.
Pinks are also a hard color to judge. Some can look really, really good & others can look really, really bad. This is usually a matter of trial & error.
Silvers are not a good choice either. Leave them for the blue eyes.
Eyeliner Colors
Unless you really like black eyeliner, it’s usually a color to avoid. Try steely grays or chocolate browns. Use gold or white to open up the eye if your eyes are small.
The Rule Of Thumb
A good rule of thumb when choosing a color for makeup tips for green eyes is to focus on warm colors & avoid cool colors.
Like I said, there are exceptions to every rule, but this should provide a nearly fail-safe method for choosing eyeshadow colors to bring out the beauty of your green eyes.
The Application
How you apply your eyeshadow depends how many colors you’re wearing & what the occasion is.
For basic every day wear, here’s what you do.
1. Apply a highlighter like crystalline to the entire eye from the bottom of the crease to the eyebrow.
2. Use a taupe or apricot next & apply it to the whole eyelid & blend it just above the crease with the crystalline.
3. Then use your third color (chocolate brown, dark green, copper, etc.) & apply it one of two ways:
a. Apply it from the middle of your eyelid from the eyelash to just above the crease. Blend it well. You can even blend it under the lower lashes for a more dramatic look.
b. Apply it from the inner corner of your eyelid & sweep it out to the outer corner of your eye. It will get thicker the further out you go. Blend well.
4. Apply eyeliner & mascara as you normally would.
And there you go! Great makeup tips for green eyes.
You can look at these colors & try to find them elsewhere or you can simply purchase the paletter, I use the one for blue eyes & it’s AMAZING! My eyes have never looked so stunning…I swear by these colors….Good luck!http://almay.com/pg/main/catcoleyeslips.…
