Make Up Issues?
Whenever I put on eyeshadow, in a while, it won’t be completely gone, but a reasonably amount won’t be there anymore, & what is there is all shiny. (I’m asian by the way).
Also, about eyeliner & mascara. Whenever I put any on, particularly on the bottom lashes, in an hour, you can hardly see it anymore, & it creates dark shadows & bags under my eyes. Any advice?

hello, for eye shadow try using foundation on your eye lids firsts. this gives your shadow a base. if that doesn’t work you may want to try a powder under the shadow. as for the eye liner, you may want to try a smudgeproof. sephora carriers lots of them, & at pretty reasonable prices. if you you are wearing mascara on your bottom lashes this will cause your undereye dark circle as well. hope this helps

First off, I wouldn’t put mascara or eyeliner on the bottom part of your eye for that exact reason, it’s very hard to get eyeliner/mascara to stay on your bottom lashes without smudging. If you really want eyeliner on the bottom part of your eye, when you pull down on your eye, there’s a small line where your eyelashes begin. You can draw a small line with eyeliner on that line of your eye. Be careful, don’t stick yourself in the eye though, liquid eyeliner is easier to do that with. Hope this helped!
Good luck

Dab a bit of vaseline, or moisturizer on your eyes where you put your eyeshadow, & that will help the powder stay on longer
And for the lower lashes, put a bit of mascara on a q-tip & then apply it to the lashes, it will apply just enough to show, but not enough to smudge on your face.

yes, brush powder on your eyes(under & eyelids) & that should act as a primer so your eyeshadow & mascara will stick better

It seems like you have cheap make up. They easily smear & wipe off, try getting a liquid eyeliner that drys & doesn’t smear, & get waterproof mascara.. & for the eyeshadow, try something not powdery.. like a cream type eyeshadow, it should dry & stay on much longer.

try a primer for both. they have shadow primers & mascara primers, & they should help keep the makeup on instead of rubbing off. you could also try moisturizing your eyelids to keep them from over-producing oil (which is what it sounds like is happening). if the primer doesn’t help for the mascara, then you should try a different one.

for eyeshadow if you want it to last longer use shadow base or primer or cold cream or any kind of moisturizer under eye shadow.eye liner you can use charcoal eye liner if they are chalky burn the tip with fire (use lighter) mascara use the lengthening kind because you are Asian you don’t have long lash like me I’m also Asian

better brands do tend to make eye shadow last longer. Here is where quality matters for sure. Also, try to get the kind of eye shadow on pencils; which have a slight oily base. It will last a bit longer & sometimes their colors are much stronger.
Also there is a technique I use with my eye liner. Eye liner is nice, but if you ever find a day you want to do it quickly & still look nice. While the mascara is wet, when you put it on the bottom lashes…practice just lightly smearing it as if it were a painting ever so slightly to make a line under the eye lashes. You would probably have to see me do it, in order for this to make sense. It won’t make sense here.

try applying foundation & powder to yours eyes so it “soaks” up all the oils …
as for they eyeliner, mine use to do that & i had to switch to pencil eyeliner …try that =]
good luck =]

For your eyeshadow problem, you need to use a primer like a MAC shadestick or even just a concealer stick. I’m asian as well & I use the MAC shadestick in Shimmersands & it never fails me. My eyeshadow stays on ALL day without fail, & I just use the cheap-o Jane eyeshadows for daily wear.
For your eyeliner & mascara problem, you will need to use waterproof for both. I have this same problem, & even though you don’t notice that your eyes are watering they must be. Since you will be using waterproof be sure to have a really great makeup remover.
Also, using a mascara with a primer is a really good idea.

I’ve learned that the expensive brands do make a difference in wear time. Try Clinique or Lancome makeup.

Dip your eyeshadow brush in water, put on your eyelid;
let sit for a second.
they put a little vaseline on the brush tip;
not a glob, just an ultra thin layer
put eyeshadow on the brush, put on your eyes,
and apply more vaseline if you want a shinier look

Try putting a hint of concealer or foundation over your eyelids before you apply eyeshadow – it prevents eyeshadow from creasing & also helps keep it on longer. Plus, it will hide any veins or minor imperfections on the eyelid.
