Mascara Answers

i’m having to stay with my grandma while my mom is out of town for the next few weeks. my mom is laidback & lets me like what i want to like; but my grandma is totally different. she says i was pretty until i got my nose pierced. it’s just a tiny stud in my nose, i don’t understand what difference that makes? i walked into the kitched the other morning wearing an insane clown posse tshirt & she screamed at me to take it off. so i go put on shorts & a hollister tank top & she tells me i look like a sl*t. later on i was in my room listening to icp [at a reasonable level] & she comes in & tells me to turn off the devil’s music. i don’t wear that much makeup, just some light eyeshadow, a bit of eyeliner, some mascara, & little blush. she tells me i look like a hooker & classy girls don’t wear makeup; yet i barely wear any! she’s brought up my grades from last school year & said i’m a failure, & keeps telling me god doesn’t accept me for the way i am & what music i listen to just because i’m really into insane clown posse alot! but i’m a strong believer in god & pray everyday! it’s getting on my last nerves that she won’t accept me for me! any advice please?

I wear contacts – & I’ve been buying the hypoallergenic makeup, but I still can’t figure out how to apply eye makeup . Any tips?

I have green eyes, dark brown shoulder length layered hair with side bangs, I have an oval face with light copper skin, I’m 5′3 & 98 pounds, I wear a size 14 in kids, 0S in juniors, 32A bra. I’m in t 8th grade I get straight A’s or A-B I’m in Algebra 1, Spanish 2, Language Arts, Civics, Band- flute, Physical Science, gym, & keyboarding. I play volleyball & dance ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, & hip hop. I play the flute & piano. My room is almost always clean. I have a lot of friends, I have a boyfriend. My style is preppy/sporty. I like American Eagle, Aeropostale, Old Navy, Limited, Forever 21, Pac Sun, Abercrombie, & Hollister. My favorite shoes are Sperry Topsiders & potatoe shoes. I wear a lot f necklaces. I wash my hair with either Garnier Frutics Sleek & Shine or Herbal Essences Drama Clean. I use Dove Go Fresh body wash. I use Venus razors & Skinimate shaving cream. I don’t always wear makeup, but when I do I wear a little concealer, pressed powder, a little eye shadow, mascara, & lip gloss. I love school. I have a brother, sister, half brother, sister in law, & brother in law. I have two nephews & a neice. I live with my mom & dad. My dad is a lawyer & my mom is a house wife. My brothers are all in the army. I live in Virginia & hope to go to UVA & become a teacher. I love my life! 2009 has been an awesome year so far!

ive never even talked to these girls before & sometimes they give me dirty looks for no reason & when they think im not looking, they stare at me! ive been told before that its because im beautiful & they’re just jealous. I have long light blonde hair that ends right below my chest(its naturally that color) large blue eyes, & fair skin. The only makeup i wear is mascara & on occasion, a little eyeliner. ive never done anything to make these girls not like me. Alot of guys at school talk to me & flirt with me & i’ve recently been told by 3 guys that they really like me. I get compliments everyday like “your eyes are so pretty, do you wear colored contacts”? (no i dont lol ) or ” your hair is so pretty” of course it’s flattering but im kind of shy so i always blush & get nervous & i just say “thanks”. One time one of the girls that are rude to me said
“you have the most perfect skin, what cover up do you use”? & i said ” i dont wear coverup”, (because i dont, like i said i only wear mascara & sometimes a little eyeliner) well she didnt believe me! she was like “you’re just saying that so no one else can go buy the makeup & your skin will look better then everyone elses”! i was so shocked i just stood their thinking are you kidding me?! So its only these 3 girls that are the problem & for no reason they’ll give me dirty looks. im too shy to go up to them & ask what their problem is, i dont know what to do. i talked to my friends about it & they were like “do you want us to be honest with you”? & i said yeah . & they said ” you dont even know it, but your gorgeous! everyone knows your beautiful but you just dont see it, if you had some confidence these girls wouldnt be mean to you” i was soo surprised when they said that. they also said thats why they stare at me when they think im not looking. Ive also noticed other people stare at me alot. Ugh, i dont know what to do. Should i say something to these girls, or should i just ignore them & not let the dirty looks & rude comments get to me?
any advice is greatly appreciated
ps: i dont know if this helps but im 16, & the only people that i have a problem with are the 3 girls, everyone else just compliments me alot, & ive also been told that they’re being like that because they’re mad that alot of guys like me, but i dont know. please dont think im bragging or anything, trust me im not. i really just want some advice or opinions on whats happening.

Ok I’m in 6th grade, ( I know on my page it says im 15 my sister put that but I actually would”ve been in 7th grade but cut-off is diffrent) & my mom gets sooooo mad if I put mascara on. Okay, I know your gonna say I’m young but I have super short eyelashes & no matter what I say my mom won’t budge! I told her I just wanted to enhance my natural beauty & she said that I have to wait until 8th or 9th grade for a TINY DAB of mascara! Okay, I feel lucky that my mom lets me wear champagne colored eyeshadow & lip gloss but when you apply eyeshadow it gets on your eyelashes & so its good to at least have an eyelash curler. Okay, so I just said what about a dab of brown mascara & she said NO!. I told her just a dab, I mean seriously I’m not asking to wear bright blue eyeshadow or bright red lipstick, just a dab of brown mascara! She just so paranoid that other girls are gonna think I have to much on but she’s just always paranoid about me.Its also becasue none of my friends aren’t really intrested in makeup because there athletic. But in my bobbi brown teenage beauty book it said for 12 year olds that they should wear neutral eyeshadow, brown/black mascara & gloss which is all i WANT TO WEAR! Sorry, but I’m just so annoyed with her right now. Also,she like she also says that I don’t need to straighten my hair but my hair is wavy & when I do she says its “over straightened”. If my part is crooked, immediatley she comes over & has to have it straight just to go outside to run. Also, right before I came to ask this question she gave me a long lecture of FROM NOW ON NO MASCARA EVER TO SCHOOL TILL I’M IN 8TH GRADE! Ok, Seriously that big of a deal just because of mascara. SO, if any of you could give me some advice, that would be great & rude comments will be deleted or reported, & no saying I’m to young because thats not what I’m asking,I’m asking for advice.

im 18, straight guy, but ive always been called a pretty boy. ive never been called gay though. (i actually look a lot like my avatar, it’s freaking me out man!!)- slim athletic build, dark hair, blue eyes etc.
I wear guy clothes like jeans, converse, jacket & stuff, totally normal & not gay looking. i do guy stuff, muck around like something out of the Jackass movie. nobody accuses me of being gay.
but just a pretty boy. ive even been accused of wearing mascara by a girl (i dont!! no way!! i just have long annoying eyelashes).
basucally; what can i do to change this? facial hair is a big NO, it looks wrong & out of place on me. maybe i could get really muscular? tattoos?
please help, it gets me down. girl & guy advice welcomed

I have camp this week & i will be in the water a lot. i don’t mean, like at a swimming pool, i mean sailing around in the bay. does anyone have cute ideas for hair, or makeup tips? other than the classic, “use waterproof mascara tip”?
