Mascara Answers

I’m 13, & I have tons on pimples. I can NEVER get them away. I drink a lot of water too. I wear some makeup (powder, blush, eyeliner, & mascara) but I take off the makeup when I take a shower (I usually take a shower at night) I use the neutrogenia pink grapefruit oil free acne wash when I’m in the shower. Also, I use this clean & clear blackhead scrub before the neutrogenia oil free acne wash. After I take a shower, I then put this St. Ives apricot scrubb on (only 3-4 times a week). Then I put this Aveeno daily moisturizer on my face & the rest of my body. I wash my face in the morning & put on the Aveeno agian (only on my face) Is there any other things I could do to make my skin more smooth & healthy looking? Any myths? Any products? It would mean alot(:

i have 2 wear for school, a bright red jumper, grey trousers, white shirt, red tie & dark shoes. how do i make myself look nice?
I want general advice on how to do my hair & make up. i have the following things;
GHD straighteners, curling tongs, hairspray, hair mousse, bobbles, clips, hair gel. eyeliner, eyeshadow, foundation, mascara.
also, after looking at my myspace pictures, how shall i look good on weekends too?

i also have kinda dark undereye circles & light eyelashes should i use mascara?

I am after a good mascara that lasts well when clubbing & dancing all evening. Preferably brown or brown/black that doesn’t flake, smudge & is waterproof. Has anyone any suggestions?

I use L’oreal Pencil Perfect(ebony) for eyeliner & Maybelline Define-a-Lash mascara.

i have hazel eyes, my skin isn’t dark but not too light. im looking for the right eyeshadow color & wanted to ask you guys your opinions on what color i should use. im looking for that brownish-army greenish color but more on the brown side(NOT TOO much green). i would also like to know which mascara i should use. my eyelashes are barely noticable so i want that extra-long/full looking lashes. i’ve tried so many mascaras but alot of them make my eyelashes stick together & just makes it looks like a big mess. i also don’t like wearing waterproof mascaras because its hard to get them off & my eyelashes fall out easily. i hate it because it’s like buying the same ol’ stuff but just a different brand. please help! thanks

i wear make up,and i always wear the same thing:
- Black eyeliner
- Black mascara
- Liquid Foundation
- Smudged Eyeliner on my eyelids.
Everyday it looks really….kinda.. dirty to me.
I wanna look clean & glamorious but i dont know how….
any ideas???

so i go to school & i put on my makeup on in the morning & it looks just fine & then after lunch hour my face looks dull & my makeup has rubbed off & my eyeliner looks smudged hahah…
so this is what i use right now
smashbox primer
trueblend foundation
bare minerals finishing powder stuff
normal mascara
pencil eyeliner
and thats it!
so what should i do!!

I have brown hair (looking to dye, making another question for that), hazel eyes, & I think my skin colour is ivory-ish. I always use my foundation on my lips with some pink tinted lip gloss or red lipstick, I put subtle brownblack eyeliner on the insides of my eyes (the place that everyone can’t stand to put it, lol) & some along the bottom. I use brownblack mascara, & I curl my eyelashes, usually I use 3-4 different shades of slightly glittery brown shadow, so it looks natural, yet pretty, & a blush. I’ve been doing this for a long time now, & I’m getting really bored. Last night I put on some mermaid blue along my top & bottom lash lines & put mermaid green on normally as a shadow. I think it looked pretty rad, but it’s all I can think of to spruce up my make-up. I don’t want to totally over-do it, but I want to make it fun, not dull & boring. What other things can I do to make it more fun, or maybe you have some other misc. tips. Everything is welcome!!

I have champagne blonde hair (natural) with platinum streaks ($140 from the salon lol), blue/grey/green eyes, really fair white skin & i’m looking for a new way to apply make up to my eyes. I’m currently using natural base colors (light shimmers, & browns of different tones), brown eyeliner, & brownblack mascara, but i’m bored of the same look!!! I’ve had it since 7th grade! lol.. any advice on what other colors i could possibly use?? thanks in advance for the advice!

I have naturally long lashes, but I wish they were fuller. I use Dior runway mascara which I LOVE, but for special occasions I’d like to have something more.

I’d like something that can withstand the heavy rain. I’d really like something that goes on smoothly, with a light layer–no clumps. I basically want something that is a bit darker than no mascara at all. Any ideas?

Okay so I’m 18 & most people think that I am 15. I wear clothes from Hollister, Abercrombie, & American Eagle mostly. I am about 5′4” & I;m pretty thin. I wear make up daily, it sounds like a lot but it doesn’t look it. I wear foundation, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, & mascara. I would like to look my age! Does anyone have any tips to help me! I don’t want to look made up but I guess I don’t mind if it makes me look my age. I am going to college in the fall so I would like to not look like I’m someones younger sibling! PEASE HELPPP!

It seems the only colors they have are black or brown. I have checked out Walmart, Zellers & Shoppers. Caboodles used to have different colors, but i dont see their mascaras on the shelves anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried pretty much every drugstore mascara out there so i have decided to write a review on all of the ones i have tried hopefully this will help all of you looking for a new mascara…Here it goes:
MAYBELLINE:
FULL N’ SOFT- Good mascara if your looking for a natural look. It gives a little more length & a good amount of volume, although the volume isn’t that great. It does make you lashes feel soft like it says it will. My rating: 7/10
GREAT LASH- Horrible mascara. Its only $4 & you get what you pay. Brush is weird & provides no lengthening no volume & definitely no definition. Rating: 3/10
XXL VOLUME INTENSE- This mascara is good for those looking for fake looking eye lashes. The length it gives is unbelievable! it give a little volume but nothing compared to the length. Rating: 9/10
LASH DISCOVERY- This is ok. Doesn’t give much length or volume. The brush is small & cute but did nothing for my lashes. Rating: 5/10
LASH STILETTO- Best lengthening mascara without the need of a white primer. This mascara gives you the length it says it does except it does not give you that shine it says it will in the commercials. Rating: 9/10
LASH STYLIST- The brush it awkward to use (it looks like a little comb). Gives good length & volume but it does clump your lashes together like you wouldn’t believe, it almost resembles glue. It looks really bad, almost makes you look like you have Barbie doll eyelashes. Rating: 6/10
SKY HIGH CURVES- This is mascara is Ok. Does not give much volume or length or curl. Definitely not the 30 degree curl it promises. I think this mascara would be good for girls who have light eye lashes who want to make them black. Rating: 6/10
COLOSSAL- Known to be very stinky. It does have an odor to it but you can’t smell anything once its on your eyelashes. The brush is big which has its pros & cons. This mascara does work well but didn’t give me 9x the volume it promised. Rating: 7/10
EXPRESS TURBO BOOST- Very good mascara for volume. Lengthens as well, but the volume is very nice. The formula does dry somewhat fast so you have to hurry in between coats. The only problem I had was the formula got clumpy fast. But it’s a good mascara. Rating 8/10
COVERGIRL:
LASH BLAST- Good mascara for volume. It does what it says it will. The only drawback is the flaking I noticed after a couple hours of wearing the product. The brush is very big but I had no problems getting the small little lashes in the inner corners of my eyes (I know this is a big issue girls have been noticing).
LASH EXACT- Gives you good definition, ok for length & so-so for volume. You do have to apply many generous coats to get the volume you may want. But if your looking for a natural look, this is a good mascara. Rating: 7.5/10
PROFESSIONAL SUPER THICK LASH- Great mascara for the price. I paid only $5 & this is GREAT! This is my new favorite mascara. This product gave me no clumps, great volume & great length. The very black formula gave me amazingly dramatic looking lashes!! Lashes don’t feel brittle either! Amazing product. My rating: 10/10
PROFESSIONAL NATURAL MASCARA- This is ok as a mascara, all it does is give it definition, but it’s good as a brow gel. Rating: 7/10
FANTASTIC LASH- I heard a lot of good reviews on this one but when I bought mine…oh I’d say 5 or 6 years ago, I must have gotten a bad batch. It clumped horribly & did nothing. It did not give me the “fan of lashes” look it promises. Rating: 6/10
LOREAL:
VOLUMNOUS- I really don’t know what all the hype is about. This mascara gave me similar results to the Maybelline sky high curves. It did not give me much volume or length; in fact it looked very cheap. Rating: 7/10
TELESCOPIC- Not a good one either. The brush is very awkward to use & the product itself provides no length or volume. The only thing this was good for was giving defition. Rating- 6/10
FEATHER LASH- Gave me same results as the voluminous. This mascara did however last me quite a while (I don’t throw my mascaras away after 3 months. I toss them when they get dried out or clumpy). Rating: 7/10
DOUBLE EXTEND WITH BEAUTY TUBES- This product gets a lot of good reviews but I have nothing good to say about this product. It is very pricy & does not work as well as other mascaras of its kind. For the price…not worth it! Rating 6/10.
REVLON:
LUXURIOUS LENGTHS- Probably one of the worst mascaras I have ever tried. Like the Maybelline great lash, this doesn’t give you anything it says it will. The brush is very unusual. Rating: 4/10

HIGH FIBER MASCARA- This is good if your young & starting to wear makeup. Its very cheap, only $3.50 a tube. Works okay, but the smell is quite overwhelming. Rating: 6.5/10.

I’ve heard that L’oreal Voluminous Mascara is good but only in black. Whats wrong with the clear? I want to look very natural for my boyfriend. My eyelashes are short without mascara & colored mascara looks fake on me especially up close.

I’ve had lash extensions for months & love them. I get nearly every lash done so I get themost dramatic effect. Here’s the thing, my right eye is gorgeous! The lashes in the corner of my left eye criss cross & even point downward! Gross! I have an eyelash comb & a clean mascara wand. Nothing works on them. The girl who does my lashes puts the coating on them afterwards & the lashes look great for about 4 days & then they start to point down in the corner & a few in the middle. Am I do something wrong or is the tech? Can we do anything different? I try very hard to take good care of these, not using oily thigns on my face, no really hot water, I even try to be careful sleeping. I always sleep on my left side, maybe they bend at night that’s doing it. Any advice anyone?
