Mascara Answers

Okay this is what is happening, in the morning after i wash my face & all it is dry, like so dry that it will flake if I don’t put on a moisturizer…but then by late noon my face gets really oily! This is what I do
Morning:
Wash face with Clinique (#2 i think)
I used to use the Clinique toner but i ran out, so now I use Clean And Clear’s Astringent for Acne-oil free
Then I moisturize with clinique’s gel-oil free
Makeup:
-I take a bit of my moisturizer & take my mineral powder foundation by Maybelline & mix it together, i apply that on my face.
-I lightly brush over my face with more powder just to matte it, but just barely…
-I apply eyeliner, I have tried a lot but they all like to smudge because I also have oily lids (I only apply it on my waterline)
-I apply clear mascara & a neutral eyeshadow which wears of because of my oil lids…(not the mascara though)
With my oily lids it smears the eye shadow everywhere, or there is no eyeshadow left:( With my face its really gross by the end of the day because you can see the oil…Right after i put it on & for like one hour it stays on, & isn’t oily!! HELP(: I have heard there are oil control lotions or something..try to keep it cheap like under $10, but still offer anything!

Oh & i don’t have time to ‘touch up’ during the day!

i put mascara, lip gloss & primer. but does moisturizing your skin helps?, well i never did it, & when i wash my face, in a while, my skin will become very oily & does moisturizing will help stop the oily skin & does it really open pore( is it a good thing to open pores?)

My skin is seriously annoying me. No matter what I do I can’t get my pores clear & my skin less oily. I wash my face with Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Facial scrub every other day, & just soap on the other days. I have fair skin & everything shows. I don’t wear makeup because it always gets blotchy & annoying. I want to start wearing at least foundation & Mascara if my face weren’t so oily. Any suggestions? I don’t have “acne” just clogged, large pores. Ps. I’m 25 so I don’t have teenage skin either, if that makes a difference.

Hi Tyra, I LOVE YOUR SHOW.
I’m a 42 years old African American woman, medium complexion with very oily skin, puffy under eyes & dark circles. I don’t have a particular skin care treatment that I use everyday. I’m not into makeup, but I do wear eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, & gloss. Can you PLEASE advice me on what inexpensive products that you recommend, thanks.

like foundation? mascara? eye liner? powder? primer?
Price is not a issue. But i need makeup that will stay on for all day… in the heat or rain. Please any tips would be helpful.

i need all day protection. i have good skin very little acne, but my t-zone is crazy oily.clean & clear is out. i am not looking to spent too much on stuff, about $30 for my moisturiser, cleanser & toner. i need someting with at least 15spf, also to remove waterproof mascara
