i was reading a magazine & these products were in it & before i buy them i would like to know if they are worth buying & if they actually work. good & bad reviews please.

Where I live, it rains all the time, so its best to wear waterproof mascara. I’ve been using Bobbi Brown no-smudge, & at first I liked it, but it isn’t doing it for me anymore. It doesn’t lengthen very much, unless I use a whole bunch, & it just doesn’t volumize them as much as I want. It darkens a bit, but my eyelashes are already black. The thing that I do really like about it, is that it doesn’t come off no matter what, except with waterproof makeup remover.
I want a mascara that will make my eyelashes a bit more dramatic. I want them to look longer & thicker, but not clumpy, or too separated. I don’t want them to look really fake or anything, because I’m just a freshman in high school, & the only makeup I really wear is mascara, & sometimes eyeshadow. I don’t know what to buy now! I don’t want to pay more than $30.00

Hey guys, I am a 13 yr old girl in the 8th grade. I have started wearing a little bit of makeup:) My mom said that if i do wear makeup, I shud use something like Mac because its not as bad for my skin. Ok so i have a 100 dollars & I am going to the mac counter in 2 days! Does mac really have a starter kit with stuff already in it???Ive heard rumors they do. Anywayz if they dont, it wud be so awesome if u cud give me some advice on what to buy from there. I have black hair, brown eyes, & tan skin. Im going to mac to buy some lipgloss, mascara, eyeliner, bronzer,and concealer. Just leave me some comments of the best mac prodcuts for me.

I have dark brown hair & dark brown eyes. I’ve always thought that I looked kind of boring since the colors are so plain. Since I’m still fairly young, I only use a tiny bit of makeup. I use a great moisturizer, & a little liquid black eyeliner. Sometimes I’ll wear eyeshadow-usually a darker color. And I never really wear mascara since my lashes are already pretty long & curled (a bit). I don’t wear foundation or coverup because my skin really isn’t flawed.
I have-for a lack of a better word- “scene” hair, & i’m going for that type of makeup style but nothing really extreme.
Please don’t say that younger girls shouldn’t wear makeup & such, I already wear it & i’m not going to stop just because a few people over the internet tell me not to.
And I wash it off every night that I do use it. I don’t wear makeup too much. Only for school & when i’m going out (not just a trip to the grocery store or anything but as in going to the mall, movies, etc etc.)
So please just give advice on the question, not that I shouldn’t wear it. Thanks!

uh, no.. lol.
they wouldnt make something that was actually bad for your eyelashes
but if you try & take the mascara off by pulling it off, that might be bad because you can rip off your eyelashes.

I used to use mabeline Dial-a-Lash mascara & it was TRUELY waterproof–i could cry, sleep & swim in it & it would NOT smear. Now they don’t sell it any more, at least around here, does anyone know what mascara is really waterproof now??? Please help!!!!

So I’m 16 & I have the worst self-confidence ever.
I cake on SOOOO much make up it’s ridiculous. It takes me an hour just to put mascara on because I just layer & layer & layer it on. I go through sooo much mascara because I use so much in just one day. I go through like one tube a week. I barely have any eyelashes anymore because the mascara has taken it’s toll but I continue to pile it on every morning. It’s really pathetic, & I know it.
It’s just the only way I feel confident. It takes forever getting off my make up. People tell me I’m pretty all the time…but only when I have make up piled on…
I don’t let ANYONE see me without make up. I even get hesitant to let my family see me without make up.
This is probably why I never date either. Guys have liked me, sure, but I just push them away because I feel almost as if I’m lying to them. YEAH, LYING.
I really like this guy right now, we’re kind of talking, & I feel like pushing him away because I know as soon as he sees me without make up he’s not going to like me anymore. I’ll feel like an ugly failure.
I know people say that girls with too much make up on are trying to get attention or they’re trying too hard & this is NOT the case with me. But it’s only when I have make up caked on that I feel confident, & feeling confident is always the best feeling.
I’m not gonna lie, I look pretty with make up but as soon as all of the make up comes off….I look absolutely disgusting. I’m not kidding. I look like a COMPLETELY different person & I’m just hideous.
i don’t know what to do anymore. All I think about is how ugly I look with make up & every morning when I put it on, I feel so fake & like I’m lying to everyone who thinks I’m pretty because they’ve never seen me without make up.
I just don’t know anymore….

I wear contacts – & I’ve been buying the hypoallergenic makeup, but I still can’t figure out how to apply eye makeup . Any tips?

i know this may sound weird, but i get scared everytime i get up my courage & grab the macara, & just when im about to do it i get scared & close the container. can i have some tips for getting over this?

whats the best way to apply mascara to make them long & curling?

I have really blonde hair & really blonde eye lashes. I’ve been wearing ‘black’ mascara .. but now I’m wondering if I should wear ’soft black’ or ‘black/brown’ .. because my eye brows & eye lashes are all very very light, so the ‘black’ looks like a little too much.
I don’t wear eye liner & my eyes are blue (if that matters.)
So what color mascara should I wear?
stick with the ‘black’?
switch to ’soft black’?
switch to ‘brown/black’
or
switch to ‘brown’?
(oh! & my skin is very brown right now, I’m really tan, if that matters?)

i just started using mascara & eyeliner & never used eye make-up remover before, only cleansing soap to remove make-up. so im just wondering whether it would be better to use eye make-up remover to remove the mascara & eyeliner. if yes, how do you use it? & which brand would you recommend me to buy?

Avon’s Clearskin Purifying Gel Cleanser is what my wife uses. It keeps the skin clear, too. Our teenage son ever uses it to keep his skin from breaking out.

I really want to know if anyone uses Bobbie Browns cosmetics i.e; foundation & mascara because I heard its really good & is even better at covering up acne & is not oil based so does don’t over compensate oil glands (i have naturally oily skin) I really want to start uses foundation & stuff but is afraid it will make me skin problem even worse??? Please help, any advice would be gratefully!!

It would help if it’s easy to remove. I have tried CG, maybelline, loreal, & lancome.
