Mascara Answers

Ok, it seems kinda weird but I noticed that whenever I ask a question or wanna learn something about hair or makeup, I usually get a better answer from a man. Like when my hair was really dry & damaged, a gay guy told me which products to use on my hair & they worked really well. Then another time I was at Sephora asking about mascara & none of the girls there were able to answer my question, so they had the male employee help me. He knew everything about mascara, even down to it’s properties & ingredients used in them & how each one works! Then there’s this male makeup artist on youtube that I watch & his videos are very helpful & i’ve learned stuff from them that other people didn’t know about when I asked them questions.
I was at the bookstore the other day looking at books on makeup & the best one/most helpful with the best tips happened to be written by a man. The other ones didn’t help much & they happened to be written by women. Not that I go looking for men for advice or that I look at the author’s name of the book to see who it’s written by…I just thought about it today that i’ve consistently gotten great advice from men on beauty products. Is that just a coincidence or have you experienced the same thing?
Oh, & I don’t think all of the men i’ve talked to are gay.

ive tried everything. heating up my eyelash curler, holding my eyelash curler tightly (two minutes for each eye), ive tried putting mascara on before i use the eyelash curler, & ive tried putting it on after, ive tried putting it on before & after i curl my eyelashes, ive also tried blow drying my mascara dry with cold air after ive applied it, ive trird alot of little techniques. does anyone have any advice on what type of eyelas curler i could use, or mascara that will help?

No, its not worse for your eyelashes. You just need to have an oil-based eye makeup remover to take it off. It WILL NOT come off with soap & water. I had some on 2 weeks ago & tried to just wash it off with my regular face wash & it wouldn’t come off. Finally I put some Vaseline on it to break it up & then washed my face… it worked, but I had to really rub my lashes with tissue. Vaseline isn’t the best either–its too thick. The remover has to be oil based & it will come off easily. I lost about 2 eyelashes using the Vaseline, it was just sticky & goopy & I had to rub too hard. The oil based remover will not do that.

I read in an article that plum mascara works better with pale skin- does anyone prefer plum over black? Also, are there any brands that carry this color that I can purchase at a local store? Nothing overpriced?

I just bought this last night.Used it this morning. Made my lashes very long,no clumping,but it’s no blacker than Blackest Black.

My eyes are NOT watery, & my eyelids are not oily. The problem is I have a crease under my eyes that all my eye make up smudges on. I’ve always used regular mascara, & they have all smudged on me. So my question is, is waterproof mascara less flaky & smudgy than regular?

I have more than one question that I hope you guys can answer!
Even if you only know one please give your suggestion.
Here Goes
1. I shaved the ends of my eyebrows & they seem to have grown back faster & darker Should I pluck or wax, or is there some other way or product/tool I can use that can make it any easier?
2. I’m going from brunette to a blondish/light brownish color & I was thinking of just using Sun-In Hair Lightener or something but can you use it on your eyebrows? I have kinda dark eyebrows & I tried on dark hair & no reddish results happened but will it work or is there another method of lightening the brows other than dying them?
3. I can’t wear mascara because I have problems with it & I can’t put up with false ones but my eyelashes are kinda straight out & I want to lift & keep that way without mascara. Is there some kind of like eyelash spray that keeps them lifted lol?

try coating your lashes w/ vaseline & using your fingers to gently rub it out.
then, a warm wet cloth helps remove the vaseline.

I was just wondering if waterproof damages/dehydrates your lashes more than reg. mascara, because as a girl of asian descent blessed with full lashes, I gotta keep my lashes in check! lol As much as I love mascara, I cannot try waterproof for fear of pulling out my lashes & watching them turn dry & brittle. :/
Is it really as bad as i think it is?

Only slightly…and others don’t notice it, but how should I fix this? I’ve been putting more mascara on the small eye to make it look bigger, & adding more barrettes on that side of the head. Any other tips?
