Mascara Answers

Just started this based on the prompt “Write about fatherhood, with the main character a florist & make the setting a restaurant.” (he’s going to find out he’s going to be a father later.)And I think it’s pretty good. I’d like to hear some other opinions, though!(: I’m fifteen, & have been writing for about a year…
His knees bounced under the table, eyes scanning the door every few seconds, waiting for her to rush in & apologize for being two hours late. The waitress was looking sympathetic now, bringing him a new Coke after Coke, setting it down on the coaster without a word. He bet she saw sorry, lovesick guys all the time. But he was different, his girl was different. She wouldn’t stand him up, she couldn’t.
Was this relationship love, or lust? Daniel convinced himself that it was love, although he wasn’t too sure. Everything about her was perfect. From the way her sweet blonde curls hung around her face to the vanilla taste of her mouth when he kissed her. He loved everything about her. How she looked when she focused on arranging a bouquet of flowers at the shop, the way her creamy skin contrasted with the emerald green comforter on her bed. She was the wild adventurer to his soft-spoken poet. She was his light, the breath in his lungs, the fire to his water. The term falling in love never felt so real, every time he touched her it felt as though he had thrown himself off the highest cliff. Falling slowly, his stomach twisting, heart racing. A solid breath was hard to come by when Leila was around.
They didn’t know anything about each other. She never asked, he never questioned it. All he knew was that she worked at Posies Flowers on 24th street, & that her favorite color was blue. He constantly wondered what her family was like. He liked to imagine them as kind of families on television sitcoms. Sarcastic people, who had their arguments but at the end of the day never forgot how much love they had. It would take some amazing parents to raise such an extraordinary person. Maybe she had an older sister, someone who played dolls with her & taught her about boys. Or a younger brother, who she held after he was born & defended him through his difficult years. There was a history somewhere behind those blue eyes, a reason they sparkled with such happiness & light. Daniel liked to think he was that reason at times, but it was times like this that he doubted his stance in her life.
The face of his watch read 8:30, & just as he reached for his coat he noticed a girl flitting around on the sidewalk, the green neon sign of the restaurant reflecting off her porecelin skin. Her eyes met his, & she froze for a moment. It almost seemed like she was indecisive as if to come inside, but in the end she slipped inside the door before it closed. Her cheeks were pink from the cold, & a grey wool coat was slug around her shoulders. Her mascara was slightly smeared, & the smile she flashed seemed a little too rehersed.
“Hey.” she said in a voice that was eerily cheery, removing her coat & sliding into the booth opposite him.
He nodded once, stirring his Coke. “I was just about to leave.”
“Well I’m glad you didn’t.” She placed her hand on top of his, stroking the top of it with her cold fingers.

It’s just a little something I wrote… I’m sure it’s easy to figure out, but do you think of it? Also, don’t expect it to be beautiful- I’m only fifteen. Just so you know, it is completely non-fiction, & I’m sorry if it’s a little cheesy. Also, sorry if the category was poorly chosen- I had a difficult time with that. You should be able to figure out the rest. Thanks in advance
This girl will not stop staring at me.
I *know* this girl. At least I used to. However, she can’t be the one I’m thinking of. The girl in front of me looks on with a sheepish smile & eyes which do not glance around out of worry, but instead look on with great determination.
This girl has a great body, & neatly straightened hair which is both healthy & not too voluminous, not too thin. This girl has breasts, real breasts, & an amazing butt, one which fills out the dark blue jeans nicely. Her make-up is applied carefully, not poured on, & the mascara compliments her already-long eyelashes.
The girl laughs at me, & I know it is out of love. I can hear past the laugh into her soul, & I hear the sound of true happiness, without a hint of sadness or fear.
The girl has plans- she will spend time with her friends this week, but will also find time to do her laundry, keep her bedroom & closet clean, & complete her homework- all without stress. She also will let her guard down and, although she will never forgive, she knows to forget. Alas, she has long-term plans as well. They’re still a bit confusing, but she’s getting there.
I’m confused, but proud nonetheless. Can this truly be the young girl I’ve always known? Is this what she’s grown into? And is this the one who not long ago was plagued by depression?
No, it can’t be. Can it?
Is this a miracle, or is there something seriously wrong with my mirror?

I have blue-green-gray eyes & relatively fair/ pale skin. What color eyeliner, mascara (no crazy colors with this one please), & eyeshadow should I wear to really make my eyes stand out & bright. Also what brand would you suggest? And if possible, try to provide waterproof options. Thanks!

Most prefer to use black but if your going for a more natural look then use brown.

hey so i was wondering if someone could help me with a daily makeup routine
i just turned 20 if that matters.
i usually do thick eyeliner on top & bottom, urban decay eyelid primer, dark eyeshadow, mac mascara, bare minerals foundation, & nars “orgasm” blush.
i would like to keep using the blush & mascara but EVERYTHING else i wanna change.
all the makeup i use makes me look a lot older than i am so i really want to start doing a light natural look yet still enough to make me pretty
i have a slightly large nose btw, which is why i use so much eye makeup to distract from my nose. but then the eye makeup makes me look older so i don’t like that :/
if anyone wants to help me with exact brand names & stuff so i can actually go buy the products that would be absolutely amazing!

Well im 14 & i know that friends will come & go but for right now i need advice on this one girl friend i have…she can be a total *****, her names kayla. Here are a few stories/examples about kayla..
-Shes very self-centerd, like when ever i go over there she tells me all about things that recently happend & im interested & i listen & like make conversation about it, but when it come to my turn she goes…that’s cool izzy.
-shes stingy, she seriously gets in a such a bitchy attitude when i use her laptop..and im like why cant i just check my facebook damn? & shes like what am i supposed to do while you do it? im gonna be bored i just dont feel like it, so she like gets crabby so i end up just shutting it down. & she would always be a ***** if i used some of her mascara or her foundation…WHEN she uses mine & doesn’t even use it.
-She hates when i take showers at her house because her excuse is..im gonna be bored! & i honestly take 10 minutes shower….and im not even kidding when i say this…shes in the shower for 45 minutes, & & if i want to take a shower she seriously gets into one of her moods & wont talk to me.
-and this one time me & my bestfriend got into this fight,,,and when you get into fights you kinda like spill on how you feel & your emotions about this person & how there wrong & blah blah blah..well me & my friend made up, & we where talking on our facebook walls like friends & being like lets hang out love you! & she was like yeah i got into a really crabby mood when i saw that, whennn shes the one who totally friend hops like ever year & finds a new bestfriend in a heart beat, & she doesnt even call me her bestfriend & she gets pissed offf when i say that sandy is my bestfriend she goes WOWWW k izzy. even though she doesnt even call me her bestfriend.
I honestly dont know what i see in her…. i really dont, the only think that i like is that shes really funny..but only for like 2 minutes. then shes a *****..So im wondering should i just drop her like stop answering texts & calls, should i confront her how i feel, or should i just like blow up on her & get all my frustration out..?

I want make up tips & tricks for making your eyelashes look longer, getting clear skin, & like tips for using things for multiple purposes (like mascara as eyeliner, etc.) LINKS PLEASE!

I ran up stairs to my room & slammed my bedroom door shut. I threw myself on my bed & closed my eyes, trying to block out everything in my mind that kept coming back to me. My mother just got done yelling at me again. This wasn’t the first time she always comes home drunk. But why does it still bother me as if it was the first time all over again. She came through the front door stumbling around & finally sat down on the side of the couch. I was in the kitchen eating dinner that I fixed for myself, like I did everyday. I walked into the living room & saw my mother. Her curly red hair was a mess with her eye liner & mascara all smeared under her eyes. Her clothes where skin tight, she had on a black tank top & a pair of tight blue jeans that were tucked inside her black boots that went up to her knees. She still had a beer bottle in her hand, she took a big drink of it & sat it down on the coffee table & looked up at me.
“What?!” she said pushing her hair back.
“I didn’t say anything.” I went to the coffee table & grabbed her beer bottle.
“Give me that!” She said yelling getting up & following me as I made my way into the kitchen.
“No! I’m sick & tired of you coming in here every day drunk as hell!” I said & threw the beer bottle in to the trash.
I turned my head & she slapped me across the face. I backed up & ran to the other side of the kitchen table. I put my hand up to the side of my face & felt the hot skin of where she just hit me.
“Damn you Alicia!” She yelled & opened the refrigerator & pulled out her pack of bud light.
She opened up a can & took a drink & started her way of the stairs to her bedroom.
“Some of my friends are coming over this weekend & I don’t want you here to ruin it. So you need to go somewhere. I don’t care where just not here.” She said to me, as I heard her bedroom door shut.
That’s when I ran to my room & started crying. I remembered it again & again, but I told myself to stop that I wouldn’t let my mother get the best of me. So she was having some of her friends over at the house. I laughed to myself, & thought of all the friends that she has had at the house before. How they had left the house a mess, & I had to clean it up. I heard the phone ring, so I rolled over on my side & reached over & grabbed the phone & answered it, “Hello?”
“Hey Alicia! What you been up too?” Savanna said, on the other end, she sounded so enthused about something, but then I remembered I know Savanna all my life & never once has she bored me. She had been my best friend since Pre School, I remember asking her if I could barrow her crayons because I didn’t have any & ever since then you could say that we have been sisters.
“Nothing, just eating dinner. What about you?” I said sitting up & slinging my legs over the side of my bed. I just couldn’t tell her anything about my mother, I just couldn’t. It was too embarrassing.
“Well, you’re so going to love this.”
“Love what?” I was so confused; she knew how I hated not knowing what was going on.
“Party, Friday night, my house.”
“Party?” I asked still confused, why on earth was she throwing a party?
I heard her sigh as if she didn’t want to go threw all the details but she did anyways, “Well my dad is out of town for the weekend, something about a business trip & hey! Trace talked me into it.”
I smiled to myself, I should have known. Ever since Trace has walked into Savanna’s life, she has turned into a rebel you might as well say. I hated Trace with a passion; he was just so rude & not good for Savanna. But I kept my thoughts to my self of course & allowed my only friend to go out with him.
“Okay, so who’s all going to be there?” I asked, I was kind of curios about it. But I wouldn’t admit that to Savanna.
“Everyone!” She said at a high pitch screamed, “Our whole class, & the grade below us. Some people are saying that this is going to be the party of the year. And since we are officially seniors, don’t you think we can party some?”
“Well won’t that be nice to be seniors who party.” I said sarcastically.
“Come on, I thought you would love this idea.”
“I guess, anyways, my mom’s having a party all weekend here, so there should be no problem with me not being able to come over.” I said, thinking back to what my mother had said to me.
I heard savanna laugh & say, “And I bet there will be a lot of cute guys here, all you will have to do is take your pick.”
I laughed & said, “Yeah, like some guy would ever be interested in me.”
“You never know. Well hey got to go. I’m going to call up some more people & tell them. Talk to you later okay Alicia?”
“Alright, bye Savanna.” I said & hung up the phone & fell across my bed.
There should be no reason of telling my mother about this, she wouldn’t even notice that I wasn’t there at the house. She said that she didn’t care were I was as long as I wasn’t at the house. I got up & made my way downstairs & cleane

I love this look but it definitely looks to dramatic for a regular day. Would you wear it to the movies or to a dance or to a party or to like a wedding or somewhere else? Thanks for all your advice!

Hello everyone! I was just wondering how other girl my age beautify themselves. I am 17 & here is my beauty routine…
1. St. Ives facial cleanser & makeup remover
2. anti-aging face cream (never to early to start!)
3. vitamin C eye gel (rejuvenates eyes & reduces puffiness)
4. Shimmery body lotion
4. Makeup – foundation, bronzer, eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, a small amount of pink blush, & shimmery chapstick or plain vaseline.
5. St.Ives facial cleanser & makeup remover before bed
6. Night face cream
Also, before I shower I apply olive oil all over my body, even in my hair. And once or twice a week I make my own facial mask – cooked oatmeal & honey. Oh, & lots of water & daily vitamins. What are your beauty tips & secrets???

okay so i wear foundation,eyeliner, liquid eyeliner,mascara, & sometimes eye shadow. when i put on my make up i jst get that dirty feeling instead of feeling clean & refreshed. what makeup do i use. should i use less make up? this is what i would love my make up to look like.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to improve my appearance a little bit. I’m looking for a very natural look, some makeup products that will enhance some of my facial features.
I have dark brown hair, very fair skin, round black eyes, & long eyelashes. I’m looking for things like what blush would be complimentary with my coloring, if clear mascara would be good, what eyeshadow I should use, etc.
Oh yeah, one thing. Please do not include bronzer in your advice. I tried it once & it looked horrible. Thanks for your help.

ok, im going to spend a bunch of money on some new makeup & I was wondering what you suggest?
I have light skin with some pimples, my skin gets oily but it is sensitive.
Can you suggest a good primer/foundation?
Also, what eyeliner/mascara do you use?
