Mascara Answers

Okay, so I know there’s a lot of questions about this topic but my mom is being ridiculous. I’m 13 & in 7th grade & this year she started letting me wear foundation, blush, & a little bit of mascara. She won’t but me those big volumizing tubes of mascara, only the skinny brushes & whatever. Also I can’t wear eyeliner, & eyeshadow which doesn’t make since to me. It really bugs me because I have to sneak on eyeliner when she leaves for work or on the bus. I wash it off before she gets home but sometimes she can tell I was wearing it & gets all up in my face & snappy & I hate it. I put it on nicely & right on my waterline so I don’t look like a skank/whore/hoe or anything, & eye shadow isn’t even bad! I think I should be able to make my own decisions by now & me & my mom already have a bad relationship & this is making it worse because I’m going behind her back. Advice please?

As a man I don’t wear mascara but the answer to this is pretty simple nontheless…
I’ve observed quite a few women putting on mascara in my time & it seems that most of them tip their heads back when they do this. I suppose this is to give them a better view of their eyelash. Now, if you sit in your seat there & tip your head back as you would to apply mascara you will feel a slight pull on your bottom jaw because the skin on your neck is stretched tight. In order to release this tension you naturally open your mouth (as your upper jaw is not constrained by your neck).
Try it… Having your mouth open a bit is more natural & more comfortable…

I have pretty good skin. I hardly get pimples or anything like that but I have noticed that when I use certain face cleansers like clean & clear exfoliating wash & morning cleansers it makes my face start to peal. I am currently using my daughters Aveeno baby wash for sensitive skin (she has slight eczema & its the only thing that seems to work) So anyway…. I am thinking that the Aveeno baby wash is probably not giving me the “cleanse” i should be getting. I also use my daughters Aveeno baby lotion or the Vaseline lotions & it seems like that has been something that has tamed my dry skin. I do wear a dept store moisturizer at night & during the day. I tried using Oil of Olay moisturizing cream but it made my face feel tight & dry.
I also tried using the oil of Olay toner but it only made my face itchy & tight. I want to make sure I am taking good care of my skin. I am 23 & I am starting to see fine lines under my eyes, on my forehead, & some crows feet. I also have horrible dark circles under my eyes that seem to work with any concealer. I do drink plenty of water (2-3 liters a day) & I wear SPF, sunglasses, & hat when I go out. I don’t really wear much makeup either. Just some tinted moisturizer, bronzer, blush & mascara & eyeliner when I feel like I need the pzas. ‘
If you could give me some face wash, & eye cream suggestions I would really appreciate it. I know that retinol (which is vitamin a) is great for wrinkles but I am currently 4 months pregnant & well I’d rather stay away from retinol right now.

Why would they outlaw cellphone usage in auto driving while it is perfectly ok to put on lipstick, while smoking a cig, while fixing mascara, while reading the paper,while drinking coffee, while eating your egg mcmuffin, while suposedly keeping your attention focused on the tast of conveying your auto down the highway at 65 – 75 miles & hour?
.. insendign this retorical ?? i got replys condeming me as one who condoned this stuff … lets please think before we leap myself included. & i did think before sending this out…thats why i removed the prime examples i had from earlier posting to not offend any responders of previous.. many were well thought out but some….. wellll ill leave it to your imaginations to figure it out … look foreward to reading replies to his one… but then again if peopel were thinkers they wouldnt be doign this stuff anyhow now would they thus removeing my?? from being here.

my eyelashes are sore from masccara & it hurts when i put on eyeliner cuz that skin got soft or something & its tender. why is that? can you help me with it & good applying tips??

I’m 12, & so far just wear lip gloss & purple eyeshadow. The first time I wore it was at the school dance on friday. I wear the eyeshadow & a little lip gloss every day now, but don’t know how long to wait to get any other kinds of makeup like mascara (it doesn’t really look good on me. It makes my eyes look too big & it is really noticable.) & eyeliner. I also would like some advice on how to wear it.. I have hazel eyes & medium brown hair. Please help!

Will vaseline make it more smooth when applying mascara. It just gets clumpy & doesnt want to seperate as good as the other eye. :/

you can’t keep your eyes open. i mean like every time i apply it on my eyes close. i can’t hold them open for my life & whenever my friends put some on me i still can’t hold my eyes open. so whats a trick to putting on mascara?

Argh it happened to me this morning!
I was in a rush to get to school & I quickly put it on then straight away I sneezed & the wet mascara went all under my eyes. ARGHH. I had to remove it & start over again.

I use black mascara, black eyeliner (on the top & bottom), but when i remove it, it takes me ages & my eyes always end up really red.
Is there any way to stop this & for me to get it off easily? My mascara isn’t waterproof so i;ve tried taking it off with water but it doesn’t work. Cleanser wipes don’t work either. I always end up rubbing around my eyes to get it off & then i’m left with red eyes.
So basically what can I use to get it off easily?
