Mascara Answers

Does wearing waterproof mascara in the summer really work? Even if you go swimming? What about eyeliner? Which brands do you recommend that are not overly priced?

ok i know it sounds strange – but i want to be able to apply just a small amount of masscara so its not totally obvious that ive got it on but so that it makes my eyes look pretty

Right now, I’m just testing the waters in the sea of makeup & I’ve been wondering what other people use for their foundation, primer, concealer, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, lip gloss, lip stick, etc. Anything really, even facial masks!
What brand(s) do you recommend, & do you have favorites that you wouldn’t mind sharing? Although I’m not adverse to pricier items, my price range usually contains convenience store items.

I’ve been told by a few of my friends that wearing mascara damages your eyelashes; makes them thinner, shorter, less healthy, etc. I have very long eyelashes but the tips of my eyelashes are blonde so I wear mascara to help so you can actually see them completely. I don’t wear it EVERY day but I do wear it a lot, however if it damages them, I don’t want to wear it much at all. So please let me know!

-its really GREAT, Its not sticky & gross like most other gels, it doesn’t make your hair all oily looking & its very light, so you cant even tell your using it.
My hair is naturally curly & sometime I choose to leave it that way, & I DESPISE MOUSE.

its very firm, it still has a good natural look, & i really like it, & almost UNDERSMEARABLE. so YAY for me.

i put mascara, lip gloss & primer. but does moisturizing your skin helps?, well i never did it, & when i wash my face, in a while, my skin will become very oily & does moisturizing will help stop the oily skin & does it really open pore( is it a good thing to open pores?)

Right now I’m using Fiberwig because it looks natural if you brush it on lightly & the right way & my lashes are pretty long so these make it look VAVOOM! I also have Givenchy Phemon’eyes but it tends to make smudges under my eyes & it tends to clump if you don’t put it on just right. Great Lash is of course a favorite of a lot of people & celebs, but my mains are: Fiber Wig & Bourjois mini Volume Glamour for black.
I have a big blue one by Benefit called Bad Gal Blue which is AMAZING & nicely subtle at first but in the light is quite surprising! I have the urban decay colored one in purple haze but it’s not so purple & it’s hard to apply.

I am going swimming with my family this afternoon at about 4.
It is 10:30 (almost) right now.
I have been clearing up my acne but, it’s not completely gone yet.
I still want blemishes to be covered up & stuff.
This is the exact makeup I use.
Concealer: Revlon color stay (LOve it & it covers nicely).
Foundation: Pressed powder from Covergirl. Clean. (really nice but comes off about 3-4 hours after applying).
Finishing powder: I use a loose powder from Physicians formula sometimes just to even it out (It’s a nice powder).
Blush: Physicians formula blush (Love it)
Eyes: stilleto mascara (waterproof but rubs off & makes me look like a racooon).
I really need help with my face how to make my makeup stay all through the day & maybe even in water..would hairspray make me break otu if I sprayed it on top of my face when the makeup was on it?
Eye makeup… How can I make the mascara stay on without dripping?
I am not going to have time to go pick stuff up cuz My mom is picking me up at 12. We are going to go swimming at 4 but, I am hangiing out with family & friends from 12- tomorrow morning.
Long story short…I like one of the guys there & I don’t want him to not like me because, I have acne & stuff.
dont tell me to be ok with it because, I am just asking how I can mkae my makeup stay on all day & maybe even in water???

I used to be lazy & just keep it on through the night, but but then i was afraid it wasnt good for my eyes or something so I started removing the makeup every night, which is kind of annoying cause the remover sometimes leaks into my eyes & its time-consuming.
Is it really nessacary to remover eyeliner/mascara at night, or it just wasting time? What will happen if you dont take it off?

like does it dry them out or anything…i use vaseline to remove it & sleep in vaseline on my lashes…

i use loreal.
its hard to remove mascara
this is my routine
put on cotton pad,gently pat my eyes/lashes
then keep on patting & wiping(then my whole eye area is like black)
i slowly remove & then i use q-tip to remove excess
its a really tiring process & long
what can u do to help??

I am going to the store to get new makeup. I think just liquid foundation mabey powder too & some mascara. What are the best brands that are good. Do i need to get primer to keep my makup on stay on all dya. What is the best mascara that makes your eyes just glow?

I always use a mineral powder foundation (it was BareMinerals but now I’m using Revlon), Physician’s Formula Summer Eclipse bronzer, & some times Clinique neutral eyeshadows, & Almay taupe eyeliner & a small coat of LO’real telescopic mascara in black.
