Mascara Answers

I have never been a girly girl, because, well I could never afford makeup other than eyeliner. So yesterday I kind of splurged & bought foundation, a new lip color with gloss, & the covergirl exact eyelights mascara, liner & eyeshadow for hazel eyes.
Can anyone give me some tips about applying any of this kind of makeup.
btw I do know that the exact eyelights have instructions on it.

i want my mascara to look dark, thick & definate, but i can’t get this look without getting clumps. how can i stop the clumps? (i dont have time to go buy a new mascara) – tips on applying thick mascara but non-clumping would be great.
also, how can i make my foundation look flawless (again, i don’t have time to buy a new foundation) – i’m currently using dream mattee mousse, but i suffer from dry skin, i no this isn’t the best foundation for dry skin but i can’t buy a new one yet. so any tips?

you can’t keep your eyes open. i mean like every time i apply it on my eyes close. i can’t hold them open for my life & whenever my friends put some on me i still can’t hold my eyes open. so whats a trick to putting on mascara?

Using black eyeliner pencil?It’s Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Pencil.
I usually wear it on the inner rim of my eye but I heard this is out of date & makes your eyes look smaller :/
I usually use white eyeliner on the inner rims of my eyes & curl my eyelashes before applying mascara,but is there anything else I can do to make my eyes look wider & bigger?

Really driving slower than speed limit & holding back traffic badly because she was applying mascara on her eyes.Do you think that is ok or what do you think?

I am 11 years old, & blonde with green eyes, I am trying makeup for the first time for a change. I was wondering what color shadow, & most of all, how do you apply it on your eyelids right? Oooh, & what kind of mascara? I thought blondes were supposed to wear like a brown kind…..and one mre thing, what do you do when applying mascara? Sorry for all those questions! LOL I will be thankful for helpful tips, pictures, videos, etc.!

ok i know it sounds strange – but i want to be able to apply just a small amount of masscara so its not totally obvious that ive got it on but so that it makes my eyes look pretty

So just recently I started applying eyeliner on my bottom eyelid & I use a MAC eyeliner. And just started putting mascara on my bottom eyelashes. I use CoverGirl lash blast. After a couple of hours I notice that the mascara starts flaking & lands right under my bottom eyelashes. It looks like I have dark eye circles. Should I apply something on my skin before I apply mascara & eyeliner? Or is the mascara that I use not good? Thanks for all answers!

I’ve never had problems applying mascara before & having it look clumpy & unnatural. But I recently bought a new brand of lengthening mascara & I can’t happen to apply it without it getting incredibly lumpy/clumpy looking. Am I just doing it the wrong way since I’ve only ever used Great Lash by Maybelline & different volumizing mascara?

I’m not the best at putting makeup on…Could you please help me with tips for applying:

my eyelashes are super long, & whenever i apply mascara for volume, they look WAY to long, & it looks silly. is there a mascara out there that is for VOLUME only, & not length? thanks!

I’ve been applying mascara to my eyes since I was 15 & I’m now 18. Splashing water in my face, & gently rubbing mascara off my eyes, afterwards, I would use a facial make-up remover wipe. This has always the technique that I used for taking off mascara. After it, my eyes are always red, feeling dry & stings, it often waters a bit too. I’m also a contact lense wearer. Does mascara damage my eyes?

I have never used mascara, or any other make up before yesterday. My mother said that when she was younger, she got an eye infection from using mascara… but still suggested it for her mothers funeral. Today, my left eyelid where the lashes stick out feels tender when I blink my eyes. Could this be the start of an infection? Or do you think they are just sore from me applying makeup & washing it off with makeup remover, & water, scrubbing them a bit with toilet paper? I was also playing with them afterwards because I didn’t think I got all of it off.

I am new to the whole wearing mascara thing, & I just bought a tube of Colossal Volume by Maybelline New York. I probably should’ve asked about the brand first before I bought it, but too late now! Anyway. I have an eyelash brush. It has bristles on one side, & a comb on the other. I tried applying it already & my lashes were kinda clumped. So if you could help explain how to apply it right so it’s not clumpy that would be great! I just want to make sure that i don’t have too much on the brush & what not. So thanks! Your answers would be much appreciated!!

I use L’oreal Pencil Perfect(ebony) for eyeliner & Maybelline Define-a-Lash mascara.

It’s my daily make-up for school. I’ve just applied foundation, black eyeliner & mascara. I often go with a pink blush & a nude lip-gloss.
